The Challenge
A single day, time-boxed design exercise putting into action the Design Thinking process by the Stanford d.School. The goal was to rapid-prototype a social featureset for Netflix.
Active Entertainment
I recruited friends to help with user testing of paper prototypes. Netflix never adopted these features, but Amazon implemented a very similar "X-Ray" feature less than a year after I conducted this test. I guess I was on the right track.
Deliverables
- Empathy Map: Understanding user needs and viewing habits.
- Paper Prototypes: Rapid low-fidelity testing with real users.
- Visual Designs: High-fidelity mockups of the proposed interface.
