Most development was done on the PC, but scenarios around testing, console management, and security drove the development of a scaled set of tools on the console.

OPTIMIZATION & DIAGNOSTICS DEVELOPER TOOL

The Performance Investigator for Xbox (PIX) tool captures detailed performance information from a running game. PIX shows data, graphs, and hints to help you improve the performance of the graphics pipeline, tune, and debug the game.




